Two new stamps in the second of? ?Fun & Liberty? series released on May 15, 2012 by Luxembourg Post and?? presented paragliding and diving.

The 0.60 stamp depicts paragliding sport, and the 0.80 stamp depicts diving. These two stamps were designed by Timo Wuerz.

Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders which divided in categories : lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure.

The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a hollow fabric wing whose shape is formed by its suspension lines, the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing and the aerodynamic forces of the air flowing over the outside.

Despite not using an engine and by skillful exploitation of sources of lift the pilot may gain height, often climbing to altitudes of a few thousand meters.

?

Scuba diving is a form of underwater diving in which a diver uses a scuba set to breathe underwater.

Scuba diving may be performed for a number of reasons, both personal and professional.

Recreational diving is performed purely for enjoyment and has a number of distinct technical disciplines to increase interest underwater, such as cave diving, wreck diving, ice diving and deep diving.

?A scuba diver usually moves around underwater by using swim-fins attached to the feet, but external propulsion can be provided by a diver propulsion vehicle, or a sled pulled from the surface.
